Punjab govt announces reward for top-performing students

LAHORE: The Punjab government has announced to reward top-performing students across all educational boards in the province to honor their achievements.

Along with student rewards, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif also approved the initiative to reward student’s teachers. It was announced that the Punjab govt will cover all educational expenses for 25,000 students.

The provincial government will disburse over Rs150 billion annually to support these educational costs. Under the Chief Minister’s directives, a new transport program for female students will be launched, with buses being provided to 60 girls’ colleges in the first phase.

Furthermore, the Punjab government has approved the establishment of IT hubs across all districts. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has ordered immediate action for the setup of these hubs and has instructed necessary measures for the laptop scheme.
