LAHORE – Benazir Taleemi Wazaif program started by the government has increased the stipends for the school students.
The new stipend amount for Benazir Taleemi Wazaif will start from the next year January and this will be helpful for the six million students in the country. The stipends will be given to the mothers of children from nursery to grade 12. Parents must enroll them in the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) for qualification.
Benazir Taleemi Wazaif 2024 Stipend Amount:
- Primary Level: Rs2,000
- Secondary Level: Rs3,000
- Higher Secondary Level: Rs4,000
The main purpose of the stipend increase is to help brilliant students in education and lessen the burden on families.
Families registered with the BISP program can apply for scholarships for their children, receiving quarterly payments and additional funds for educational needs.
The registration process has been simplified with the BISP Resource Education App. One important thing is parents should make sure that the Mother’s ID card number remains the same as the children’s B-Form number to avoid transaction issues. If the child changes schools, a new endowment slip must be obtained to continue receiving the support.
