In his conversation with journalists, Imran Khan claimed that the controversy surrounding the arrest of former ISI chief Lt Gen Faiz Hameed was a plot to push him into a military court. He also that the investigation is totally against General Faiz Hameed, and the upper authorities will try to force Faiz Hameed to confess and will use him as a weapon against him.
Imran Khan also said that he is worried about Faiz Hameed and that authorities will pressure him and use him as a witness. He mentioned that since other cases against him had failed, there was an attempt to involve him in military courts.
“It is being said that General Hameed was the mastermind behind the events of May 9. It seems like they’re going to make him a witness against me,” Imran said.
Regarding his time as prime minister, Imran Khan admitted that he had difficulties with appointments, including the army chief and the DG ISI. He supported General Bajwa but felt misled about the capabilities of Corps Commanders.
