MDCAT 2024 Exam: Internet, Mobile Services to Be Disrupted in Key Lahore Areas

The Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) is ready to take place on 22 September in Pakistan. Some news regarding the MDCAT syllabus 2024 and test have been released.

For the MDCAT test 2024 the officials have taken some strict decisions, including suspending mobile and internet services in some areas of Lahore to avoid cheating. More than 170,000 students will take the MDCAT test this year.

Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), has implemented section 144, restricting public meetups and electronic devices during the exam session. Lahore has a total of 8 centers, including the PU Exam Centre on Wahdat Road, COMSATS University, DPS Model Town, and more.

University of Health Sciences (UHS) is organizing the MDCAT test this year. Around 58,000 candidates, from both sexes male and female will take part in exam. There are a total of 26 centers in 12 cities, the schedule time decided for the test is from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM, and candidates need at least 55% to qualify for MBBS and 50% for BDS programs. There are 3,616 seats in public medical colleges and 5,025 in private ones.

What is the difference between NUMS and MDCAT? 

NUMS (National University of Medical Sciences), also arranged a different test that comes under category of MDCAT for military-affiliated medical and dental colleges. For students who want to join army colleges, passing the MDCAT and NUMS tests is mandatory.

The NUMS MDCAT syllabus for 2024 includes sections on Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and English, along with a psychological test. Preparing thoroughly for these topics is key to success.
