Motorway Toll Tax Increased by 30%: New Rates Announced Across Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The National Highway Authority (NHA) has announced the new prices of Motorway Toll Tax across the Pakistan. This will be implemented from the 1st October. These prices will be for all types of vehicles, with the Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway (M-1) seeing the most significant changes.

For example, car tolls will go up from Rs350 to Rs460, wagons from Rs550 to Rs720, and buses from Rs1,000 to Rs1,300. Trucks will also see higher tolls, increasing from Rs1,500 to Rs1,950.

Other Motorway toll tax includes the Lahore-Abdul Hakeem (M-3), Pindi Bhattian-Faisalabad (M-4), M-5, Dera Ismail Khan-Hakla (M-14), and the Mansehra Expressway, all will seek a hike 30% increase.

On national highways, car taxes will increase from Rs40 to Rs50, wagons to Rs90, buses will face Rs170, and two- and three-axle trucks to Rs210. Articulated trucks will be charged Rs460.

Furthermore, all plazas, like those at the Kohat Tunnel (N-55), Islamabad-Murree Kohala Highway (N-75), and Mianwali-Muzaffargarh (N-135), will also apply new rates.

These funds will be used for the maintenance and development for the road infrastructure of National Highway Authority.
