Pakistan Twitter (X) has been restored after a 7-month-long ban, this was confirmed by the Sindh High Court (SHC) that famous social media app will be again available.
This was also confirmed by a lawyer who worked for the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) in a court hearing.
The Sindh High Court demanded an explanation of and current situation, and the lawyer then revealed that government had removed the ban from Twitter. The request for blocking Pakistan Twitter was made in February, and now it’s uplifted and will restored.

However, it is unclear if X will stay unblocked or if restrictions could return.
The ban was made by the government officials, and the reason behind it was the election fraud. In the days before the February 8 general elections, people had trouble accessing social media, which officials blamed on technical issues.On the day of elections the interim govt powered off the internet completely in the whole nation.
Even after the elections, users continued to face problems, especially with X, leading to concerns about violations of constitutional rights. Critics said these actions went against the right to free speech, information, and association, making it harder for citizens to participate in democracy. The court has postponed further hearings for two weeks.
