LAHORE: The Punjab government, has decided to give direct concession on the Pakistan electricity bill for August and September. The President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), announced this in a press conference with Punjab Chief Minster Maryam Nawaz that people using less than 500 units per month will retain a discount of Rs14 per unit.
Additionally, President Nawaz Sharif said that the present issue in Pakistan’s electricity bill is not their problem, attributing it to the previous PTI founder’s tenure.
In this, he also mentioned three times that people are finding it hard to pay such huge amounts in the form of bills and he can feel the pain of the public.

Furthermore, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), leader said that Imran Khan is the main cause for currently high prices electricity bill. He also made a comparison between his and Imran Khan government saying that under his supervision country was improving.
He also brought the audience’s attention to his speech on October 21, where he mentioned details about electricity pricing.
“In 2017, electricity bills were lower, and people lived more comfortably; vegetables cost ten rupees per kilo during our time.” Nawaz Sharif stated that.
He also highlighted that when he was the leader of Pakistan our nation was growing very fast in terms of economic conditions, under his supervision the rate of the US dollar was at PKR 95. The price of the dollar was also maintained to PKR 104 for the next four years due to exports and other problems. Nawaz Sharif also said that if he stayed as a leader the dollar would the PKR 104.
He also mentioned that the current government is not responsible for the current increases in price and due to this international community has tracked Pakistan’s advancement and the IMF has broken the contract with Pakistan. He also said Imran Khan is the reason behind this now he is in jail and IMF is not backing Pakistan.
