Hezbollah’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, was killed at the age of 64 in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. Nasrallah was a famous leader in the Middle East continent and had stayed in hiding for years because of fears of assassination.

As Hezbollah’s leader, He was the one who train thousands of troops from Hamas and born unity among the people living there. Nasrallah had great relations with Iran as most of the missiles were secured from them for their safety.

Nasrallah was born into a Shia family in Bourj Hammoud. After completing his education, he joined the Amal Moment as a member and then shifted his interest to religious education at a seminary. He also joined the guidance of Ayatollah Mohammad Baqir al-Sadr, when he was in Iraq.

In the year 1980, Nasrallah joined Hezbollah and became its leader in 1992 after Abbas al-Musawi, the former secretary-general, was assassinated.

Under his guidance, Hezbollah became a strong military force in the world, they made long-range rockets that used to attack northern Israel. The group gained more support after Israel withdrew from southern Lebanon in 2000, which was seen as a victory for Hezbollah. However, he also faced criticism in his life, many people criticized him after the Lebanon war in 2006.

In this conflict, he also lost most of his family members including his eldest son. He has four children and lives with his wife in South Beirut, and his family experiences often shaped his public image.

Nasrallah’s death has had a significant impact on Hezbollah and its role in Lebanon and the wider region.
