KARACHI: A district court in Karachi acquitted Natasha Danish, wife of a well-known businessman, on Thursday in the Karsaz Road accident case from August that tragically took the lives of a father and daughter.
The court granted acquittal after the victim’s family submitted a settlement, forgiving her. On August 19, a high-speed Toyota Land Cruiser hit a motorcycle on Karsaz Road and then veered onto the service road, killing 60-year-old Imran Arif and his 22-year-old daughter Amna. Four other people were seriously injured.
Natasha Danish, from a prominent Karachi business family, was arrested and charged with manslaughter shortly after the incident. Her lawyer, Amir Mansoob Qureshi, confirmed, “The court accepted the compromise, and Natasha has been acquitted.”
Natasha was not present in court for the hearing. She had previously obtained bail on September 6 in the accident case and was also granted bail on September 30 in a separate drug-related case with a Rs1 million bond after two previous rejections.
